with so much inequality going on how is it that our generation has the phasade that we are doing so well? I was talking to my good friend and sister and we were making a joke that in our parents and grandparents days they mourned the deaths of medgar evers , martin luther king jr, JFK and Malcolm X great leaders in the black community. But in 2007 we have PIMP C .....noe dont jump down my throat i think it is sad that he is dead and i pray for his family ....but think about it . There are no major politcal figures to admire...i know within my own group of friends we try our best to be socially conscience, now i must be honest i am way more concearned about social issues more than political because it is our job to get ourselves involved in the comunity. When it all boils down politics = money point blank.....and none of that money is going to the people.....America is allegedly one of the richest countries correct...well all of thses countries also provide free healthcare...Afghanistan and IRAQ(sound familiar) have universal health care thanks to US war funding,Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cuba, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, ,Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.........interesting huh.....the government has billions of dollars to look at mars jupiter and any other planet but can not invest in the welfare of its people........how much money does the government spend to test missles but yet there are schools without books and proper learning material.....we have politcal funraisers for campaigns for a thousand dollars a plate ....but we want to cut welfare and public assistane programs...... OUR COUNTRY IS RAGEDY !!!! understand this we have no place going to any other country trying to play "big brother" ......COME ON AMERICA..... TAKE CARE OF HOME

Even as an adult I am amazed that even now my mother can make any situation better.
